David and Phyllis Martin started David Realty Company in 1993 as a brokerage business for the sale of homes and land in the Shreveport/Bossier City, Louisiana market - dealing mostly with single family properties.
With their knowledge of the local housing market and personal contacts they assisted hundreds of families to both sell and buy properties. Gradually, rental management services were added as well as investments in long term rental houses. Local rental investment still continues.
With 3 married children and 11 grandchildren, David and Phyllis have taken grandkids on a week long summer vacation each year since 2004. In the process they used several vacation rentals in the west and northeast parts of the United States.
Seeing the investment potential, the first property was purchased in Kings Beach, California in February - 2012. After a year long process of extensive renovations and complete interior furnishing, the HIGHER GROUND vacation rental on the north shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe is ready for leasing. This also serves as a get-a-way for David and Phyllis' large family. (other vacation rental locations are pending)
David and Phyllis are also avid booklovers and from time to time pertinent titles of selected used print books are offered for sale on this site as well as ebooks.
David has been a licensed Louisiana Realtor since 1989 and a Realtor Broker since 1993. He is a member of the Northwest Louisiana Association of Realtors.
